Nicknamed the “Hardman”, Jamie Hilt is known to the local sports community as a formidable Australian boxer despite starting his pro career at the age of 35. He started as a welterweight fighter in 2015 but eventually moved down to super-lightweight division in 2018. Jamie currently holds an 11-4-1 record and holds the ANBF Australasian Super Light title, as well as the WBU Super Light title.
Before winning the two international boxing titles, Jamie was also a state champion in the welterweight division. He won the belt against the Thai-born Aphichat Koedchatturat in October 2016 via unanimous decision. Jamie also had the chance to take home the national welterweight title in July 2017, but he lost to Rivan Cesaire in a hard-fought bout. He bounced back immediately and won three bouts in a row, which earned him a spot for a super lightweight title match.
Jamie won his two international titles in 2019. He got the first one, the vacant ANBF Australasian Super Light championship, after beating Ashley Huston with a majority decision in July. Then, Jamie took home the WBU Super Light title in November when he defeated Cairo George via 9th-round technical decision.
