Jason “Warrior” Whateley is a 29-year-old professional cruiserweight boxer from Ringwood, Victoria. Although his professional boxing career started late (debuted at the age of 27), he still showed that he has what it takes to be a champion despite his age. In just four bouts, he was able to take home the vacant WBF Australasian Cruiserweight title.
As an amateur boxer, Jason represented Australia in the 2011 Arafura Games in Darwin, 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, and the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast. Professionally, Jason also managed to grab the Victoria State and Australian Cruiserweight titles, winning by a way of technical knock-out on both occasions against more experienced opponents.
Jason currently holds a 7-0 record with 6 wins via way of KO. He is looking to extend his winning streak and expand his championship collection in March 2020 with his bout against Benjamin Kelleher. The IBF Pan Pacific and vacant WBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight titles are at stake during this match.
