In his 6 years of professional boxing, he has fought in 17 bouts and won 14 of them, 13 via way of KO.

Mitchell is a two-time light heavyweight champion. In October 2015, he won the vacant Victoria State Super Middleweight belt against Darran Allison via TKO. His second championship came from a Retirement Decision win against Clint Alderton in March 2017. Mitchell bagged the vacant IBF Pan Pacific Light Heavyweight title after the win. Both matches were held at the Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington, Victoria.

In 2018, Mitchell reunited with the Coleraine-based boxing coach Ray ‘Mocka’ McIntosh who was his first coach and whom he had plenty of success with during the start of his pro career.
